So, why do babies need any skin care products at all? After all, their skin is brand-spankin new, they always look dewy and smell delicious! The answer is they don’t. Not really. But the difference between need and want is a fuzzy line at best.

Rubbing a lotion onto your baby’s skin is a good thing, as it’s soothing, provides a bit of baby massage, and if a baby does have certain skin conditions or rashes, it can help a great deal.

It’s very important to ensure that you use pure skin-care products for your baby! No parabens, no glycol’s, as organic as possible. Why? Because you don’t want to introduce your baby to the world of chemicals and labs at such a young age.

Not that there is anything wrong with most products produced in labs. One can even argue that they are created in a controlled environment where you know its sterile, clean etc.. But, unless you’ve been to the lab yourself, you have no idea what you are buying.

So, having said that, simply err on the side of safety. Get your baby some great organic as possible products. You don’t need totally organic, just mostly organic and with no parabens and other known toxins.
