As of the last post, mid-April, I am happy to report that I look tremendously better. My skin looks plumper, line free, glowing! Reacel really works, get some now. Or actually wait until Fall as the Summer sun is not something you want to be risking this skin thinning product with.
My skin looks dewy, youthful. Again, if you recall, I practically gave myself a chemical burn in April by applying it three days in a row. Stupid on my part. The final formula was every third day.
Give it a try this Fall. I’ll remind you then.If you go to Mexico, be sure to pick some up.

I’m purposely calling this post “Anti-Oxidants, Miracle Ingredients and other Fads”. Slight twist of phrase there but it says a lot. After researching the “anti-oxidant” topic for several months, the conclusion from every reputable study that we found is that they might do something good for you if you ingest them, but do nothing when placed on top of the skin via a skin cream. This is in keeping with what we’ve written about a lot here, which is, pick a cream, toner and exfoliator that you love, that is a good quality with good, pesticide free ingredients if possible and use it. That’s all. The routine of cleansing, exfoliating and using sunscreen regularly is far more effective than paying a load of money for creams with “miracle ingredients”.
It’s like exercise. Many people put it off, and then do super workouts thinking it will make them look and feel good, while doing a little bit but doing it each day is the “secret”.
Find a skin care regimen that you like, and without fail each morning or evening, do it. Make it part of your daily habit. Then sit back and take the compliments.

Summer is on the way! For the most gorgeous skin ever, use sunscreen. Sunscreen for beautiful skin. Really, if you think about it, it won’t take you more than a minute to apply sunscreen. Yet most of us are lazy about it which is unfortuante as it’s the simplest thing you can do to ensure that your skin looks great.
Use about SPF 30 at minimum. The references on the bottles are for the length of time you can be out in the sun without burning.
Wanted to report to you the progress of the application of the Tretinoin that I wrote about the other day. This is the classic incident where you understand why doctor’s prescribe things and you don’t self medicate.
I over-did it! Only 2 applications and a red burn and scaling appeared. It wasn’t a pretty site. If I had done this one more time, I’d have permanently damaged my skin most likely. So, please, if you do get the Tretinoin cream “accross the border” make sure first it’s from a reputable brand like Reacel Tretinoa, but more importantly see your doctor at some point first and learn how to apply it by getting a tube here in the U.S. and go slow! A peas sized blob will do it. Once or twice a week but spaced out with a few days between applications until you find out how many times you can do this without irritating your skin.
That all said, my skin looks noticeably fantastic!
What makes your skin look more beautiful that Tretinoin? NOTHING! You may know this miracle product by it’s common brand names such as Aberela, Renova, Retin-A, Avita.
Tretinoin is an acid form of Vitamin A which is akin to an extreme form of exfoliation. It can make your skin burn, itch, scale so if you’re using it you need to monitor this carefully and use it a few times a week until you find the frequency that works for you. It’s been proven to reverse some photo-aging. I’ve been using this for a couple of years and I swear by it. But I follow Dr.Imber’s routine of only using it for a certain number of days per month, using sunscreen with it, and making sure I let me skin rest for a few months and varying the intensity of the percentage of the active ingredient.
I used to pay $120 a tube for it in the U.S. but discovered it in Mexico as Reacel-Tretinoa with a .05% concentration. Of course I was worried initially that it might be fake or bad. But after a lot of research I am totally confident that it’s the real deal. You can’t argue with the results.
It’s about $10 a tube in Mexico! You can also order it onine via www.medsmex.com

This past weekend, I went to my local Target to get a few things. While there, I’m always scouting the make-up aisles, as Target carries brands I love from abroad, such as Boots, Rimmel and Pixi. I’d never tried Pixi before, but because I had a make-up free face, I tried out the make up that was the “veil” which comes in a neat little compact. I also tried the smoky eye tool, which essentially was a silver black powder-liner on a giant sponge, so that in effect it was impossible to apply it with precision resulting in a gorgeous smoky eye. The look we all love when you get up from bed if you were naughtly and didn’t take your make-up off the night before.
Pixi at Target, fantastic make-up!! Pixi is the brainchild of Petra Strand, a Swedish woman. The price, especially for Target, was steep at $35 for the veil, $20 for the eye-liner, and about that much for a cheek gel. I normally use the Chanel Vita Lumiere, but have to say, I bought this product and really love it. Go get it. Today.
And get Boost Skincare for a skincare routine that can’t be beaten for it’s wholesome ingredients, efficacy, and results. Click here to go to our store http://boostskincare.com/store/

As you rush through the airport, your beautiful skin seems to forget to hop the plane with you. The first evidence of this is when you go into the airplane bathroom, look in the mirror, and shriek at the monster looking back at you!
By the time you get to your destination, you ain’t lookin’ too good. What happens? First the air in the plane is exceedingly dry. We consulted several sources on the scientific aspect of that and it appears to be not just a myth. Secondly, the air up there, in the plane is simply recirculated over and over during the flight. Not like they can open a window and they’re certainly not going to store a tank of fresh air in the hold just so you look better or don’t catch someone else’s airborne diseases.
Top that with not enough water, possibly a little drinky drinky- and by the time you get to your destination well, it’s sad. You go into the airport bathroom and try to patch it up.
As a group of women that have travelled a lot, here’s what we at Boost Skincare have figured out. Don’t drink booze on the flight. Bring your own water and drink a lot of it. Don’t bring it from home, buy it after you pass security. Don’t wear make-up, no need you’re not going to look good no matter what you do. Instead, exfoliate the morning you’re leaving and on a wet face, slather a generous amount of moisturizer. Bring a tiny atomizer filled with water, Evian makes a good travel sized one, and spritz during the flight so you’re not such a fright! Bon Voyage!

I was once asked, “what’s the best skincare secret for travellers that you have?” Had to stop and think about it for a while. You know how it is, when you travel you end up with dull skin the second you get off the plane for some reason. Then you get to the hotel and realize you forgot your skin care products.
Well, the skincare secret for travelles, might be a bit unorthodox but here it is. Olive oil and sugar!! Open up a few packets of sugar and place them in the palm of your hand, drizzle some olive oil or any oil if you don’t have olive into the sugar until it’s a thick consistency. Spread this on your face and move your hands in a circular motion or just gently up and down being careful around your eyes. Then soap it off. You won’t believe how gorgeous your skin will look! Be sure to use sugar not salt as it’s gentler on the skin due to the shape of the grains. Exfoliation at its best!
That’s the best skincare secret for travellers but works at home too!
